inspired by: Martin Gore- terrific songwriter whom has blossomed wonderfuly. David Gahan- a unique and charasmatic singer whom has really grown and stretched. Yes, I’m a big fan of Depeche Mode. My favorite DM albums are, in this order (subject to change)”violator”, “playing the angel” (probably just cause its new and fresh), “music for the masses”, “black celebration”.

So when I heard rumors a few months ago- very early in 2008 that they were going to work on a NEW album (even though I didn’t post this until June), I was inspired and one evening i wrote this song and then
when I had a day off, I recorded this on my friend’s (permanently borrowed?) Korg machine at home. I’ts called “Angels Hovering” and it’s about war and suffering and the angels hovering over ’singing songs of the dead.’ i like dark, dramatic, slightly gothic subject matter once in a while!

ALL ORIGINAL: music, lyrics, performance- no programming none- it’s all by hand I’m afraid, recording, copyright by SHANNON dwayne SMITH. sorry to mislead but a guy’s gotta get his stuff heard in this media drenched world somehow, huh?
