As I was inspired to edit together this video by watching several of the other Abraham tribute videos here, so I hope that this might in turn serve as a bit of inspiration for someone else.

The wisdom that Abraham has shared with us boils down to these basic ideas (which can be found on the official Abraham-Hicks website, below)…

There is no one to share His domain, nor does He take aid or support from His creatures. He is the God of the worlds. Yet, He is nearer to man than man’s jugular vein. Whenever a believer in need or distress calls on Him, He responds. He is above the Seven Heavens mounting His throne is the manner which suits His grandure.

Allah has revealed His final Scripture, al-Qur’an to the last of His Messengers, Muhammad, peace be on him, to convey the Message of Islam to mankind. He is the Exalted Allah; Glory be to Him.

I have composed a soundtrack for “Felix the Cat in Two-Lip Time”, an originally silent animated cartoon from 1926. It features a jazz combo and an orchestra - all virtual instruments, of course This is my first post, so bear with me.

I have deliberately not used any sound effects for the score but have instead tried to emulate a real orchestra using traditional instruments. This applies also to the final scene where the orchestra gets crazy using a whole arsenal of percussion instruments like the marimba, the celesta, timpani, cymbals, chimes, bells, wood blocks, and a wind machine.

“Two-Lip Time”, which is believed to be in the public domain, is the story of Felix’ adventures in the Netherlands. While abundant with kinda cheesy clichées, it’s a great deal of fun to watch.

There is a unique both anarchistic and whimsical charm in the crude hand-drawn images from Pat Sullivan Producations that is hard to find these days, I feel. For more information go to

So when I heard rumors a few months ago- very early in 2008 that they were going to work on a NEW album (even though I didn’t post this until June), I was inspired and one evening i wrote this song and then
when I had a day off, I recorded this on my friend’s (permanently borrowed?) Korg machine at home. I’ts called “Angels Hovering” and it’s about war and suffering and the angels hovering over ’singing songs of the dead.’ i like dark, dramatic, slightly gothic subject matter once in a while!

ALL ORIGINAL: music, lyrics, performance- no programming none- it’s all by hand I’m afraid, recording, copyright by SHANNON dwayne SMITH. sorry to mislead but a guy’s gotta get his stuff heard in this media drenched world somehow, huh?
